From 2 Months to 5 Months Old

Well, it's 3 months since I last posted to this here blog, and boy has it been a fun packed time.

I got meet my Great Nan, Auntie Mandy, Uncle Stuart, and cousins Conner and Chloe for the first time when we all had a holiday in the beautiful Teesdale area. We were there to celebrate Grandad's sixtieth birthday, so I also got to spend a bit more time with Nan and Grandad too, which was great. There's a few photos from the holiday available in the photos section.

Mummy and Daddy have found a great sleep routine for me, that I must admit works very well. From waking up at 7am (no matter what) I'm fed and then kept awake until about 9am, then I have a sleep for a couple of hours. I must say, it's nice that I can say goodbye to Daddy when he leaves for work shortly after 7, I think he quite likes it too.

When I wake at 11am I'm given another feed (which for some reason I take much better than the first of the morning) and then play with Mummy or go out and about for another 2 hours until going to sleep again at 1pm.

At 3pm I'm rudely awoken to have yet another feed and more play time until 5pm, when I have a quick 30min nap. By this time Daddy is usually home from work, so he gets me up and we have play time until shortly before 7pm when Mummy gives me a much needed feed (play time with Daddy really takes it out of me) and then off to bed I go for the evening.

Usually Mummy gives me another feed around 11pm when she comes to bed, and maybe another at around 3am/4am if I wake hungry. And then I'm got up at 7am to start the routine all over again.

Mummy and Daddy seem to really like this routine as they now get to have an evening all to themselves without me demanding attention, most of the time anyway. Sometimes I like to mix things up a little and wake while they're having dinner, and start slamming my feet on my bed and giving the occasional yelp, or simply chattering away. If I get really loud or start crying, then I can get them to actually come in and see me, but usually I tire of slamming and chatting away and simply drift off to sleep again, sucking my thumb helps me get back to sleep surprisingly well. It's funny, but I seem to semi-wake at set intervals, about every 40 minutes or so.

Anyway, there's a few more photos to be seen of me, Mummy and Daddy quite like the ones of me and my pal Puff, the bright green dragon. But Mummy doesn't like it when Daddy calls him P-Dragon, but I like it when Daddy makes Puff rap and dance for me.

Apparently I'm off to sleep in my own room from tonight, haven't decided whether I'll go quietly or not yet, I'll let you know how I get on!

It's been a hard couple of months

Wow, two months old already!

It's been fun discovering this here world, Mummy and Daddy seem to be getting into a rhythm, and I've now met quite a few family and friends.

Mummy and Daddy say a picture is worth a thousand words, so there's a new "
Up to 2 Months Old" album in the Photos section.

By popular demand (that'll be the entire Jones/Simons/Peggie/Price family and friends then), there is now a Photos section.

The first mini album has a few photos from the past
first few days of my life. There are plenty more photos, but their quality is of very variable standard!

Hello World!

Hello, my name is Abigail Erise Jones, and I was born at 10:32 am on the 28th of March 2007, weighing 7 pounds 3 and a half ounces.

This is one of the very first pictures ever taken of me, only a couple of hours after I entered this world, it was taken by my very proud dad.

Oh, and Dad would just like to point out that I do in-fact have two hands, I was just keeping my left hand nice and cosy inside my sleeve!
